“I feel good, I feel great about today’s judgement.

“I know God will not start something and will not finish it. That is just my strength.

“The joy of God is my strenght. I held onto that and he has proven it today.

“Now that I have been affirmed as the duly elected governor,  it is time to give the people of the state more dividend of democracy.

“To me, if you want to be a leader, you must have the fear of God. I have the fear of God, I don’t deceive the people,” he said.

Adeleke assured people in the state that what he has promised during his electioneering campaign, he would do.

“I introduced what they call fact check.  Go and fact check me when I was in the Senate.

“Everything I said I was going to do , I did it then and now I have started doing what I promised the people of Osun.

“Even when the litigation was still going on, we were still working: fixing roads and doing what we were expected to do. It is not business as usual.

“What the past administration were use to is business as usual but now, the real governance is here in Osun State.” he said

“My husband will work more and I, will also do more for the women and more empowerment for our youths.

“I will touch the lives of the less privileged,  widows and people living with disabilities,” the governor’s wife said

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the immediate past governor of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), had challenged the victory of Gov.  Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the governorship election.

Oyetola was declared winner of the election by the Election Petitions Tribunal in Osogbo, but the Appeal Court and Supreme Court in Abuja upheld Adeleke’s victory at the poll.
