Rivers State Governor Pledges Support for Wigwe University in Honor of Late Access Bank Boss

In a heartfelt tribute to the late Dr. Herbert Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Bank, Rivers State Governor Siminalaye Fubara has pledged to support the establishment of Wigwe University as part of an effort to honor the legacy of the late financial leader.

During a funeral service held on Saturday, Governor Fubara expressed his commitment to ensuring that the dream of Wigwe University would live on.

He emphasized that the state government would do everything in its power to immortalize the name of the late Access Bank boss, who made significant contributions to the financial sector and the state.

Fubara also took the opportunity to address the political class, urging them to reflect on their actions and the purpose of their struggles.

He pointed out that even with all the power and influence that Dr. Wigwe possessed, he could not control life itself.

The governor’s words serve as a reminder to those in power to focus on making a positive impact on the lives of the people they serve.

The establishment of Wigwe University is set to be a significant milestone in the educational landscape of Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole.

With the support of the state government, the university will be a lasting tribute to Dr. Herbert Wigwe and his vision for a better Nigeria.

As the state government and the Wigwe Foundation work together to ensure the success of the university, it is hoped that it will provide quality education and opportunities for the people of Rivers State and beyond.

The legacy of Dr. Herbert Wigwe will live on through the university, serving as a beacon of hope for future generations.
