Remove ‘Bad Eggs’ in Leadership for Nigeria’s Progress, Tinubu Told by Former LP Presidential Aspirant

In an open letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Presidential Aspirant in the Labour Party (LP) and the Leader of Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, has called for the removal of “bad eggs” in leadership to pave the way for Nigeria’s progress.

Joseph cited the recent State of the Union address by American President as an example of a leader who understands the issues and problems faced by not just his citizens, but also the world at large.

He praised the American system of government for its law and order, and reward and punishment, which have made it one of the greatest nations on earth.

In contrast, Nigeria has been plagued with corruption, greed, and embezzlement, which have severely impacted the economy, leaving it in dire straits.

Joseph pointed out that even when the government has good intentions, these are often sabotaged by corruption during implementation.

The consequences of failed policies, such as the fuel subsidy policy, foreign currency unification policy, and issues in the oil and banking sectors, have hit the Nigerian people hard.

Despite this, no one is held accountable for these failures, while ordinary citizens face the full weight of the law for minor offenses.

Joseph also highlighted the issue of insecurity and poverty in Nigeria, which he believes is a major contributor to the high levels of insecurity and kidnapping.

He called for the purging of the nation’s security agencies and the upgrade of its intelligence units to combat these issues effectively.

Joseph urged the government to communicate with the Nigerian people regularly, require a patriotic mindset from its workers, and apply the full weight of the law to punish offenders when they err.

He expressed his hope that the government would turn things around and prayed for the patience of the Nigerian people to see their country become better under this administration.
