Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has imposes 48-hours curfew in the State as from 6pm today, (Thursday) following heightened security situation across the state as a result of #ENDSARS protest which has assumed violence dimension across the state.
The governor also ordered that all Public and Private Primary and Secondary schools in the State to close down till 2nd November.
Forty eight hours curfew is to commence in Delta State from 6pm tonight.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa announced this today at government house Asaba while briefing the press.
According to the governor, “all public and private primary and secondary schools are closed for studies from today till 2nd of November.”
The curfew and the closure of schools was due to the burning of government buildings, armed robbery and other unwholesome activities of hoodlums that hijacked the EndSARS peaceful protest in Asaba and other parts of the state on Wednesday night.
