President Tinubu Acknowledges Economic Hardships in Nigeria, Urges Unity and Compassion

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso rock meeting acknowledged the challenging economic conditions faced by many Nigerians and emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and personal sacrifice during the holy month of Ramadan.

During the first Tafsir marking the beginning of Ramadan, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to lead Nigeria and called on citizens to support one another, extend kindness to their neighbors, and help the less fortunate in society.

“We thank Almighty Allah for sparing us to see another holy month of Ramadan.

We thank Allah for sparing us through the elections and giving us the opportunity to be Nigerians.

Yes, things are tough, but Allah has ordained us to make sacrifices, to discipline ourselves, help others, and be kind to ourselves,” the President stated.

Tinubu also urged the Ulamas (Islamic scholars) to teach the faithful about forgiveness, patience, and endurance, emphasizing the importance of sharing blessings with others.

He highlighted the significance of sacrifice and humility during this sacred period, and prayed for the strength of character and attitude to love the country and make Nigeria great.

“It is in our hearts to make sacrifices and share whatever little we have with our brothers and sisters.

Be kind and humble enough.

The sacrifice that this period teaches us is enough,” he said.

President Tinubu’s acknowledgment of the economic hardships faced by Nigerians comes at a time when the country is grappling with challenges such as kidnapping, banditry, and other security concerns.

He called on the nation to pray for its citizens, the deceased, and for the country to overcome these challenges.

As Nigeria embarks on a new chapter under President Tinubu’s leadership, his call for unity, compassion, and personal sacrifice during the holy month of Ramadan serves as a reminder of the importance of coming together in the face of adversity and working towards a better future for all.
