Police Unable to Access Okuama Due to Ongoing Military Operation in Delta State

The Delta State Police Command has recently reported that its personnel have not been able to access the troubled Niger Delta community of Okuama due to an ongoing military operation.

This information was provided by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda, in an interview on Arise Television.

According to the commissioner, the police have been unable to enter Okuama because of the volatile nature of the ongoing military operation in the area.

He emphasized that the police are working closely with other security agencies to ensure the safety and protection of life and property in the state.

The military operation is a response to the murder of 16 soldiers in the region.

The commissioner assured the public that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be brought to book, as they are being tracked using technology.

Abaniwonda also mentioned that most of the places in Okuama are currently deserted and that the police are working on obtaining clearance to enter the area and provide support to the military operation.

He assured the public that the police are fully committed to their mandate of protecting lives and property in the state.

As the situation in Okuama continues to unfold, the Delta State Police Command is working diligently to ensure the safety and security of its residents.

The ongoing military operation and collaboration with other security agencies demonstrate the commitment of the police to addressing the challenges faced by the community.
