Police Nab 4 Suspected Armed Robbers in Adamawa, Recover Stolen Tricycle

The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended four individuals suspected of armed robbery and recovered a stolen tricycle.

The suspects allegedly attacked and robbed Nuhu Muhammad on Sunday along the Jimeta Bridge in the state capital, Yola.

The arrested suspects are identified as Abdullahi Yusuf, 22; Umar Yahaya, 20; Hassan Ishaka, 24; and Shuaibu Abubakar, 19.

All are residents of Kwabura village in Hawal Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to the police statement, the suspects boarded the tricycle as passengers to a specific location in the Viniklang area of Girei Local Government Area.

Upon reaching the Jimeta Bridge, they used force and threatened the tricyclist with dangerous weapons before pushing him out and fleeing with the vehicle.

Acting swiftly, the Jimeta Division patrol team apprehended the suspects and recovered the stolen tricycle.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, assured that the suspects would be charged with criminal conspiracy and armed robbery upon the conclusion of the investigation.

This recent arrest highlights the police’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents in Adamawa State.

It serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities to the authorities.
