PDP Urges Tinubu to Review Policies Stifling Nigerian Economy

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged President Bola Tinubu to review all the policies that have made living conditions tough for Nigerians.

The call was made during the Party’s 98th National Executive Council meeting on Thursday.

The PDP has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians, suggesting that the current administration has failed to show any interest or commitment towards the wellbeing of the citizens.

In response, the Party has called on President Tinubu to rejig his economic team and bring in people of proven integrity and competence without bias or vested interest to help reposition the country’s economy.

Furthermore, the PDP has demanded that the federal government review all policies and programs that are stifling the economy with suffocating effects on the lives of citizens.

This includes the increase in fuel prices without any cushioning measures, the hike in electricity tariffs, increased taxation, and the implementation of adverse fiscal policies.

The Party has also expressed concern over the insensitivity, nonchalance, incompetence, and arrogance of the APC administration, which it claims continues to conduct itself in a manner that shows no interest in the wellbeing of Nigerians.

As the President and his administration consider these requests, it remains to be seen what actions will be taken to address the concerns raised by the PDP and alleviate the economic challenges faced by Nigerians.
