The Senator representing Delta Central senatorial district, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has berated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state saying that the party has no moral justification to ask for votes from the Urhobos following over 12 years by the PDP led government in the state.

Senator Omo-Agege made his position known at Arhawarien in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state during his ward-to-ward campaign as part of activities to kick start his reelection bid.

Other communities visited bythe lawmaker include Aladja, Ewhu and Okparabe in Udu and Ughelli South local government areas where he lamented the spate of under development in the are assaying, “For the few months I have been in the Senate, I have been able to use the N220million allocated to each Senator for constituency projects to attract projects for my constituents.

“Unfortunately, the PDP has been in power for the past 16 years, yet there is no iota of developments in these communities and am forced to ask, what wrong did the Urhobo people do to PDP?”

Promising to facilitate the construction of the Arhawarien Bridge in the 2019 budget, Omo-Agege said: “For the past 16 years, PDP has been coming to these communities to campaign forvotes and I wonder why they refused to construct the bridge for the Arhawarien.

“I know your pain and am confident that in the next budget, the project for the construction of the bridge would be captured, just as Deltans wishing to travel to Abuja, can now do so before the end of 2018.”
