Osun Police Crack Down on Vehicle Number Plate Coverings

The Osun State Police Command has issued a stern warning against the practice of covering vehicle number plates, emphasizing that violators will be arrested and prosecuted.

The warning was made public by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, during a parade of suspected criminals in Osogbo on Friday.

Opalola clarified that only the Governor, Deputy Governor, and the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly are exempt from this directive.

The Police have made it clear that any individual found covering their number plates without a legitimate reason will face the full extent of the law.

The Police have emphasized that this measure is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the citizens, as well as maintaining law and order in the state.

They have urged vehicle owners to comply with the directive and avoid any action that may lead to their arrest and prosecution.

As the crackdown on this practice begins, it is expected that the Police will be vigilant in enforcing the directive and ensuring that violators are brought to justice.

The public is encouraged to cooperate with the Police and report any suspicious activities or individuals who are in violation of this directive.
