Olumide Osoba has clinched the APC's ticket for a fourth consecutive term. He'll represent Obafemi Owode/Abeokuta North/Odeda Federal Constituency in Ogun Central Senatorial District.

Osoba ran unopposed during Saturday's primary election across the constituency. His emergence was smooth and uncontested.

In a separate race, former Commissioner for Women Affairs Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye won the APC nod for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency. She's eyeing the seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adeleye dominated across all 21 wards in her constituency. She polled 25,167 votes in total.

According to Party Electoral Officer Wale Ajayi, she garnered 17,286 votes from Ifo Local Government Area. Ewekoro LGA contributed 7,881 votes to her victory.

Ajayi announced the results at Ifo RCM 1 in the presence of INEC officials and security personnel. Party stakeholders witnessed the declaration.

Adeleye praised delegates and party members for their massive turnout at the exercise. She noted the process was peaceful and orderly throughout.

"The election was conducted peacefully and transparently," the former commissioner told reporters. In her words, it reflected the APC's commitment to internal democracy.

She thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun and the party's consensus gubernatorial candidate, Senator Adeola Olamilekan. Adeleye also acknowledged the sacrifices of party faithful and stakeholders.

Elsewhere in Ogun, incumbent lawmaker Gboyega Nasir Isiaka secured the APC ticket for a second term. He represents Imeko Afon Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Abeokuta South Federal Constituency witnessed a more intense contest. Four challengers squared off against incumbent Hon.

Afolabi Afuwape.

Sodirudeen Ayodeji, Abdul-Akeem Ademolake, Hon. Lanre Edun, and Tolulope Fijayo Ayinla Philips all contested against Afuwape.

It was a crowded field with serious competition.

Afuwape eventually emerged victorious after the voting concluded. He polled 12,633 valid votes across 15 wards in the constituency.

His closest rival, Tolulope Philips, came second with just 760 votes. The margin between them was significant.

Party officials described the primaries as a success overall. They highlighted the transparency and maturity demonstrated by participants.

Adeleye's victory signals strong backing from delegates in both local government areas. Her dominance across wards showed solid grassroots support.

The APC primaries have now wrapped up across multiple constituencies in Ogun State. Party members are looking forward to the 2027 general elections.
