As the Edo State governorship election approaches, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has expressed confidence in the party’s chances of securing victory.
Oshiomhole’s optimism stems from the party’s united front and the support of President Bola Tinubu, who he describes as a father figure to the APC’s candidate.
During a visit to Tinubu in Lagos on April 12, 2024, Oshiomhole spoke with journalists, highlighting the party’s readiness for the upcoming election.
He emphasized that the APC has resolved all issues arising from the primaries and is now focused on perfecting arrangements to ensure a successful campaign.
Oshiomhole noted that the opposition parties, including the Labour Party, are facing internal crises, which he believes gives the APC an advantage.
He stressed that the party must not rely solely on Tinubu’s support but must actively engage in mobilization and capture a campaign message that resonates with Edo people.
The former APC national chairman’s remarks reflect the party’s determination to win the Edo State governorship election.
With a united front and a clear campaign strategy, the APC aims to mobilize voters and secure victory.
As the election date draws closer, all eyes will be on the party’s performance and its ability to capitalize on its current position of strength.
