Ondo Guber Aspirant Jimoh Ibrahim Pays N100 Million in APC Dues for Members

A prominent business mogul and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Jimoh Ibrahim, has reportedly paid a whopping sum of N100 million to the party’s national secretariat.

This payment was made to cover the annual dues of some party members across the state, ensuring their eligibility to participate in the party’s primaries scheduled for April 10.

According to Ibrahim, the decision to make this payment was to prevent many party members from being disenfranchised during the crucial governorship primaries.

The APC had previously announced that only financial members would be allowed to vote in the primaries, which will utilize a direct mode of primary to elect the party’s standard-bearer among the 16 aspirants vying for the governorship ticket.

The move by Ibrahim has garnered attention within the political landscape, with many speculating on the potential impact of his financial support on the outcome of the primaries and the overall political stability in Ondo State.

As the governorship election approaches, the APC’s decision to ensure that only financial members can vote in the primaries highlights the importance of party funding and membership in the Nigerian political system.

Political analysts and observers will be closely watching the developments in Ondo State, as the outcome of the APC primaries and the subsequent governorship election could have far-reaching implications for the state’s political landscape and the broader national political scene.

As the governorship race heats up, the payment of N100 million by Jimoh Ibrahim serves as a reminder of the significant role that financial resources can play in Nigerian politics and the potential impact on political stability and the democratic process.
