Ondo Guber: APC Vows for Transparent Primary Election, Raises N905m for Ondo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged to conduct a transparent and unbiased primary election in order to select its gubernatorial candidate for the November 11th Ondo State governorship election.

Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Duru, made this assurance in Abuja, emphasizing the party’s commitment to a free, fair, and transparent process.

As the deadline for submitting Expression of Interest and Nomination forms passed on April 6, 2024, at 4:13 PM, the APC revealed that 16 aspirants had already picked up forms for the contest.

The primary election is scheduled to take place on April 20, 2024.

Duru highlighted the next steps in the process, including the screening of aspirants on April 11 and April 12.

He also called on all aspirants to support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate and pointed to the recent Edo State primary election as a successful example of the party’s commitment to a fair and transparent process.

In addition to the promise of a fair election, the APC also announced that it had raised N905m for its campaign efforts in Ondo State.

This significant sum reflects the party’s dedication to securing a victory in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

The Ondo Guber primary election is a crucial event for the APC, as it seeks to maintain its influence in the region and promote unity among its members.

With a transparent and fair process, the party aims to ensure that the best candidate is chosen to represent the people of Ondo State.
