Ondo 2024: Aiyedatiwa Campaign Group Urges Other Aspirants to Step Down for Governor’s Re-Election bid

The Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) has called on other governorship aspirants in Ondo state to step down in favor of Governor Aiyedatiwa, citing his outstanding performance and the need for unity within the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The group’s Convener, Dr. Oladipupo Okeyomi, emphasized the importance of the APC fielding its best candidate, and mentioned that Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown his capability in less than three months in office.

He highlighted the governor’s achievements, including clearing the backlog of workers’ salaries, approving a N35,000 palliative for civil servants, and mobilizing road contractors to resume work.

Okeyomi also mentioned the governor’s efforts to attract foreign investors to the state and his initiative to provide transportation for school children.

He stressed the importance of the APC not missing this opportunity to re-elect Governor Aiyedatiwa, who is well-loved by the people, especially the masses.

While acknowledging the rights of other aspirants to the governorship ticket, Okeyomi urged them to embrace the olive branch extended by Aiyedatiwa and concede the ticket to the governor, assuring that Aiyedatiwa is already demonstrating that he is out for inclusive governance.

The LACO-FS has been actively campaigning across the state, with recent rallies in Odigbo, Akoko Northeast, Akoko Southeast, Ondo West, and Idanre local government areas.

The group’s co-convener, Prince Biyi Poroye, and director-general, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, expressed satisfaction with the massive turn-out of APC members in the five local government areas so far covered.

As the APC primary election approaches next month, the Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers continue their efforts to rally support for the governor’s re-election bid.
