Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has dismissed rumors suggesting his affiliation with Team New Nigerian (TNN), reaffirming his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser, Godwin Anaughe, the Delta APC leader clarified that he remains dedicated to the APC’s mission and vision for Nigeria’s progress and citizen welfare, distancing himself from any connection with the alleged group, TNN.
The statement, issued in response to media claims of Omo-Agege’s supposed affiliation with TNN, he denied the allegations, labeling it as "false and malicious." It noted that such rumors were propagated by individuals aiming to damage the Senator’s reputation and sow discord within the APC. “Senator Omo-Agege is not, has never been, and has no intention of becoming a member of TNN,” the statement read, dismissing the claims as baseless.
As Delta State’s APC leader, Omo-Agege is a vocal advocate for APC’s principles of progressive governance, transparency, and citizen welfare. “Senator Omo-Agege has consistently championed good governance, the well-being of Nigerians, and the party’s core values,” Anaughe’s statement highlighted.
Further underscoring his alignment with the current administration’s goals, Omo-Agege emphasized his commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he believes is poised to transform Nigeria’s economic and social landscape.
“Senator Omo-Agege is fully committed to President Tinubu’s vision of economic growth, security, and improved welfare for all Nigerians,” the statement continued. This agenda emphasizes job creation, infrastructure enhancement, national security, and accessible education and healthcare, with a focus on creating opportunities for economic empowerment and prosperity.
Omo-Agege expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, viewing the Renewed Hope Agenda as a pathway to a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria where every citizen can thrive. He encouraged the public to disregard rumors surrounding his supposed TNN affiliation, asserting that these false claims were intended to mislead and distract.
