Odii, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Ebonyi State, Addresses Rising Poverty and Unemployment

Dr Ifeanyichukwuma Odii, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18, 2023, general elections in Ebonyi State, has expressed concern over the increasing rate of poverty, hunger, and unemployment in the state.

Addressing party faithful during a one-way Thank You/Stakeholders meeting in Izu Community, Onicha Local Government Area, Odii emphasized the need for unity and determination in the pursuit of a prosperous Ebonyi State.

Odii highlighted several pressing issues, including the non-existence of viable industries, declining education standards, lack of access to healthcare service delivery, poor state’s rating in ease of doing business, and the disturbing human development indices of the State.

He urged party members to remain steadfast and engaged in their collective resolve to create something new and extraordinary for the people of Ebonyi.

In his speech, Odii acknowledged the challenges faced by the party and the temporary setbacks caused by those who betrayed their trust.

However, he emphasized that these experiences have made the party more resilient and determined to make a difference in the lives of the people.

He called for a united front to fight against corruption, injustice, sycophancy, and greed.

Odii also addressed those who had betrayed the party, offering forgiveness and expressing that their actions have only strengthened the party’s resolve to move forward.

He encouraged the party faithful to remain focused on their shared goals and aspirations for a prosperous Ebonyi State.

Odii promised to strengthen the party structures and ensure they are fit for purpose.

He assured the people of Ebonyi State that the PDP is committed to addressing the pressing issues of poverty, unemployment, and hunger, and to fostering development in the state.
