Former Presidential Spokesman and veteran journalist, Olorogun Ima Niboro, has heaped praise on Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, noting that the governor stewardship has matched the increased federal allocations with well-planned, well-funded projects that are already reshaping the landscape of Delta State.
Niboro while applauding Oborevwori described him as a “truly executive” leadership style, said that unlike some state, the Delta Governor is not a ceremonial one as he is delivery democratic dividend to Deltans.
In a reflective Facebook post after a breakfast meeting with the Governor, Niboro described Oborevwori as “witty, warm, highly intelligent, and focused,” lauding his emphasis on real development rather than empty political theatrics.
“I use the phrase ‘truly executive’ deliberately and intentionally,” Niboro wrote. “Because there were and still are ‘ceremonial Governors’ in certain States across the nation.”
Highlighting the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure renewal, Niboro noted that Oborevwori’s leadership is delivering on the hopes of Deltans who once “fasted and prayed” for meaningful progress.
“Oborevwori’s stewardship has matched the increased federal allocations with well-planned, well-funded projects that are already reshaping the landscape of Delta State,” Niboro declared.
He also revealed part of their conversation, quoting the Governor’s bullish confidence in the trajectory of his administration:
“Delta ain’t seen nothing yet! Bigger, much bigger things are coming,” Oborevwori reportedly told him.
Niboro concluded with a strong endorsement of the Governor’s performance and credibility.
“If he didn’t earn it, you won’t see me a hundred miles near him,” he affirmed.
The statement adds to growing commendation for Governor Oborevwori’s implementation of the MORE Agenda, which prioritises sustainable infrastructure, responsive governance, and equitable development across Delta State.
