Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt congratulations to his predecessor, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on his 66th birth anniversary. Governor Oborevwori, in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, lauded Senator Okowa as a "visionary leader, astute politician, and a committed statesman whose legacy of selfless service continues to inspire millions across Delta State and beyond."
The Governor specifically praised Okowa’s "exceptional leadership" during his eight-year tenure, emphasizing that his administration "laid the foundation for sustained growth and progress in the state." Oborevwori highlighted Senator Okowa’s profound dedication to public service, evident in his journey from Local Government Chairman to Commissioner, Secretary to the State Government, Senator, and finally, Governor.
Governor Oborevwori conveyed his sentiments, stating: "On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily rejoice with our highly respected leader and elder statesman, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on the joyous occasion of his 66th birthday." He further added: “As an exemplary leader, a man of discipline, a political maestro and a patriot, your life is a shining example of humility, integrity, and sacrifice. Your contributions to the development of Delta and Nigeria are both admirable and enduring.”
The Governor concluded with a prayer for the former leader: “As you mark this new milestone, we celebrate the grace of God upon your life and your many accomplishments.
