Olusegun Obasanjo revealed his secret to living well at 89. The former president has battled diabetes for more than four decades.
Speaking in Abeokuta on Saturday, Obasanjo credited three things with his success. He pointed to healthy eating, regular doctor visits, and disciplined living.
According to him, exercise matters at every stage of life. "It becomes even more crucial when you're elderly," Obasanjo noted.
He's officially 89 years old but remains fit and strong. "God's grace has kept me going," the former leader told reporters.
Obasanjo expressed concern about how Nigerians approach their health. Many people simply don't prioritize wellness seriously enough, he warned.
His message was clear: managing chronic conditions requires commitment and consistency. Diet, medical care, and movement work together to extend quality of life.
