NSCDC Deploys 800 Personnel for Enhanced Security During Eid-el-Fitr in Abia State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abia State has announced the deployment of 800 officers and men to ensure a safe and secure environment for the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The deployment is part of a comprehensive security plan to provide backup to operatives on routine duties and maintain peace during the holiday.

Commandant Usman Alfadarai made the announcement during this week’s mustard parade at the command’s headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital.

He emphasized the importance of this national assignment and praised the efforts of the NSCDC officers and men for their successful security operations during the Easter celebration.

The deployment, which includes personnel from area commands, divisions, tactical units, and special forces, aims to ensure that the relative peace in the state is sustained and improved upon.

Commandant Alfadarai also called on the general public to report any suspicious persons, movements, or objects to security agents to assist in maintaining a secure environment.

In his message to Muslims in Abia State, Commandant Alfadarai congratulated them on the celebration and urged them to remain law-abiding and continue to foster peaceful coexistence with their neighbors.

He reiterated that security is a collective responsibility and encouraged everyone to play their part in ensuring a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

As the NSCDC continues to strengthen security measures, it is essential for the public to stay vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all residents in Abia State.
