No Ransom for the Rescue of Abducted Children, President Tinubu Vows

President Bola Tinubu has declared that no ransom will be paid for the rescue of the children abducted from Kuriga in Kaduna State.

The President made this statement during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, briefed State House Correspondents on the President’s stance against the payment of ransom to kidnappers.

President Tinubu emphasized that under his administration, kidnapping, especially mass abduction, will not be tolerated.

He reiterated his directive to the defense to ensure the safe return of the abducted children to their homes.

The President’s commitment to tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities in the country was underscored by his refusal to pay any ransom for the release of the abducted children.

This strong stance sends a clear message to the perpetrators that their actions will not be rewarded, and it reinforces the government’s determination to maintain the rule of law and protect its citizens.

As the nation awaits further developments in this case, the President’s firm position on the matter has garnered both support and concern from the public.

The safety and well-being of the abducted children remain the top priority, and the government’s efforts to rescue them without succumbing to the demands of the kidnappers will be closely watched by the nation and the international community.
