The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) announced that its Group Chief Executive, Mele Kyari, will be headlining the plenary session titled “Leadership Dialogue” at the 2024 CERAWeek Conference in Houston, United States, on Tuesday.

The annual strategic conference, organized by S&P Global, is one of the largest energy conferences in the world and draws thousands of global energy industry experts and corporate and government leaders from around the world.

The conference, which is expected to have participants from 90 countries and feature 1,400 speakers, is focused on exploring strategies for a multidimensional, multispeed, and multi-fuel energy transition.

This year’s theme, “Multidimensional Energy Transition: Markets, Climate, Technology and Geopolitics,” aims to address growing demand for emissions reductions and the shift towards cleaner forms of energy.

In addition to Kyari’s participation, other NNPC executives will also be featured in various sessions throughout the conference. Executive Vice President, Upstream, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, will headline a plenary session titled “What are the Choices for Upstream Strategies?” on Tuesday, while Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye, will be a panelist on a strategic dialogue session titled “Africa’s Energy Future: Access, Investment & Sustainability” on Wednesday.

The CERAWeek Conference has grown in recent years to accommodate new energy technologies and climate issues, making it an essential platform for industry leaders to discuss the future of energy and the global energy industry’s response to the demand for emissions reductions and cleaner forms of energy.
