Nigerians Report Ministers to President Tinubu via New FG Feedback Portal

In a move to strengthen communication between the government and the citizens, the Federal Government of Nigeria has launched an upgraded Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App.

Unveiled by Special Adviser To The President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala-Usman, the app allows Nigerians to monitor government projects and provide feedback on the performance of ministers and government agencies.

The innovative application, accessible at app.cdcu.gov.ng, will soon be available on Google Play Store and Apple Store.

It serves as a platform for citizens to voice their opinions on the eight priority areas of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

This initiative is the result of a months-long process that began with Tinubu’s announcement of plans for ministerial assessment at the Cabinet Retreat last November.

Within 24 hours of its launch, Nigerians have already started using the app to report their experiences and provide feedback on various ministries.

For example, one user praised the work of the Minister of Works and Housing, while another criticized the Minister of Power for the worsening power situation in the country.

The feedback from citizens is not limited to specific ministries.

The Ministry of Education was urged to have a monthly training program for teachers, while the Ministry of Information and National Orientation was advised to be more visible and leverage social media to promote national cohesion.

This feedback portal provides a much-needed platform for citizens to share their experiences and concerns, enabling the government to address issues more effectively.

The app aims to create a strong feedback loop between the government and its citizens, fostering a more transparent and responsive administration.

The Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App represents a significant step towards open governance and accountability in Nigeria.

As the app becomes more widely available and more Nigerians engage with it, the government will have a clearer understanding of public sentiment and can adjust its policies and strategies accordingly.
