Nigerian Government Pledges Support for Youth Empowerment and Development

The Nigerian government has reiterated its commitment to harnessing the potentials of the country’s youth and prioritizing their needs in order to improve the socio-economic development of the nation.

During a recent courtesy visit by the Director-General of the Committee of Youths on Mobilisation and Sensitisation (CYMS), Obinna Nwaka, to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, the government’s commitment to youth empowerment was reaffirmed.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Nnamdi Mbaeri, the SGF emphasized the government’s approval of funds and 30 percent slots for youth in governance.

He expressed optimism that the current administration’s policies and programs aimed at empowering the youth in entrepreneurship and other areas would lead to the desired economic well-being for the country.

The SGF commended the CYMS for their consistent projection of the government’s image and their efforts to sensitize youths and promote a culture of tolerance, hard work, and patriotism.

He assured the organization of the government’s support in their endeavors.

The Nigerian government’s commitment to youth empowerment and development is a positive step towards a more prosperous and inclusive future for the country.
