Dr Mohammed Kpautagi Mohammed has clinched the African Democratic Congress governorship ticket in Niger State. The party declared him winner of its primary election for the 2027 general elections.
Ibrahim Mohammed, the State Returning Officer, announced the result at the IBB Guest House in Minna on Thursday. He presided over the declaration of candidates across all elective positions.
Kpautagi polled 67,924 votes to defeat his sole rival, Idris Usman. Usman managed 27,769 votes across Niger's 25 local government areas.
According to the returning officer, all winners satisfied the party's constitutional requirements. He confirmed they met every guideline for their respective positions.
For the Niger North Senatorial District, Shehu Mohammed emerged victorious. Muktar Ahmed won unopposed in Niger East, while Baba Shehu Agaie took Niger South.
Mohammed Abubakar will represent Bida/Gbako/Katcha at the House of Representatives. Ado K.
Abubakar clinched the Tafa/Gurara/Suleja seat.
Mohammed Ibrahim Abubakar won for Mashegu/Wushishi/Kontagora/Mariga. Abubakar M.
Takuma emerged for Lavun/Edati/Mokwa.
Mohammed Nazir Abdullahi secured the Magama/Rijau position. Shitu Adamu Evuti will fly the ADC flag in Lapai/Agaie.
Jailani Inuwa won in Agwara/Borgu. Dr Alhaji Mohammed emerged victorious for Chanchaga.
Abdulmali Kabir took the Bosso/Paikoro ticket. Ismaila Ibrahim will represent Shiroro/Munya/Rafi at the lower chamber.
In the State House of Assembly races, Nasiru Waziri won Kontagora I. Bawa Joshua clinched Munya while Auta Solomon secured Tafa.
Nuhu Ibrahim emerged for Gurara. Abdullahi Imam won in Wushishi and Isah Mohammed took Edati.
Abubakar Garba Mohammed will represent Suleja. Mairogo Hamisu secured Borgu and Idris Ibrahim won Shiroro.
Riyanu Suleiman clinched Kontagora II. Abdulwahid Ahmed emerged for Chanchaga.
Shehu Haruna Marfa won Mariga. Mohammed Baba Sani secured Mokwa and Yusuf Baba took Lavun.
Mohammed Umar emerged for Katcha. Adamu M.
Wonigi clinched Agaie while Haruna Labaran won Rafi.
Yusuf Aliyu secured Bosso. Baba Abubakar took Bida I and Mustapha Shuaib won Bida II.
