Niger Governor Bago Pledges Safe Return of Displaced Persons and Enhanced Security Measures

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has promised to prioritize the safety and security of citizens by ensuring that internally displaced persons (IDPs) are able to return safely to their homes.

In a recent statement, Governor Bago highlighted the successful efforts of security agencies in facilitating the safe return of IDPs and emphasized his commitment to leaving no stone unturned in securing life and property in the state.

The governor’s statement came as part of a Sallah message to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, congratulating them on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He urged Muslims to continue to uphold the values of love, tolerance, and goodwill, as well as to remain devoted and submissive to the will of Allah beyond the Ramadan period.

Governor Bago also emphasized the importance of patience, perseverance, humility, and self-denial in building a better society.

He called on the Muslim Ummah to continue praying for peace in Niger State and the nation as a whole.

Furthermore, the governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to the “New Niger” policy, aimed at achieving significant improvements in various sectors of the state.

He called for the support and understanding of all citizens in realizing this vision.

As Niger State continues to grapple with security challenges and the displacement of its residents, Governor Bago’s pledge to prioritize security and the safe return of IDPs offers hope for a more secure and stable future for the state’s inhabitants.
