Niger Delta Gears Up for Groundbreaking Trade Expo and Economic Summit in 2024

The Niger Delta region is set to host a groundbreaking trade expo and investment summit in 2024, aimed at driving economic growth and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The Niger Delta International Festival & Trade Expo (NDIFTE) has partnered with the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs to organize the twin events, which will take place in Warri, Delta State in December 2024 and in Akwa Ibom State in May 2024.

The festival and trade expo are strategically designed to give back to the people of the Niger Delta region by way of economic empowerment, cultural display, trade expo, and various other initiatives.

The events will feature a charity medical outreach, small and medium scale enterprise empowerment programs, local food and fabric promotion, as well as a range of cultural activities such as boat regatta, wrestling competition, beauty pageant, festival parade, and trade fair.

In addition to these events, the Niger Delta International Festival & Trade Expo and Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit will also host a festival golf tournament, novelty football match, and a polo tournament.

These events are aimed at showcasing the rich culture of the Niger Delta people and fostering a sense of community and pride in their heritage.

The organizers of the event have emphasized the importance of implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 1, which focuses on the eradication of extreme poverty for all people everywhere.

By building sustainable means of livelihood and promoting economic growth, the Niger Delta region can take a significant step towards achieving this goal.

Amb. Kenule Nwiya, the founder of NDIFTE, has called on other stakeholders and investors to partner with the organization to re-invigorate the cultural and economic life of the Niger Delta people.

This event represents a unique opportunity for the region to showcase its potential and attract investment, ultimately leading to a more prosperous and sustainable future.
