Newly Elected NYO President Pushes for Youth Inclusion in Governance

Newly installed national president of Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Duke Alamboye, has promised to champion reforms that will make the country’s youths contribute positively to the development of the nation.

With NYO being one of the oldest youth organizations in Nigeria, Alamboye believes that his tenure will bring about much-needed restructuring within the state organ, sourcing capable young leaders to form a strong national structure.

The goal is to regain the confidence and peace of the organization and work closely with the Ministry of Youths and other relevant government agencies.

Recognizing the potential of Nigerian youth, Alamboye commended President Bola Tinubu’s determination to change the narratives and pledged to support good policies while opposing those that do not align with the country’s development.

To tackle the current security challenges in the country, the NYO plans to initiate a nationwide advocacy and sensitization campaign for youths on security and development.

Furthermore, the organization aims to organize social empowerment programs and emphasize the dignity of labor, contributing to the country’s security as it did in the 80s.

The national secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of NYO, Dr. Olusegun Adeleye, echoed these sentiments, stating that the organization is prepared to empower the Nigerian youth and contribute to the security of the country.

With renewed energy and focus on youth empowerment, the NYO under Alamboye’s leadership is poised to create an enabling environment for the development of the nation’s young population.

Through their efforts, the organization hopes to foster peace and harmony within the youth and the entire country.
