Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah has pulled out of the APC primary race for Kebbi South. He was scheduled to contest on May 18, 2026.

In a letter dated May 17, Na'Allah told the party's state chairman the primary outcome had already been decided. He cited interference in the APC's internal processes as his reason for stepping back.

"I am writing to painfully convey my withdrawal from the scheduled primaries," he stated in the missive to Abubakar Kana-Zuru in Birnin Kebbi.

Na'Allah previously represented Kebbi South and served as Deputy Leader during the 8th Senate. His constituents had encouraged him to run and jointly funded his nomination form.

According to the former lawmaker, organizers ignored democratic standards. He said following through would undermine his commitment to Nigeria's democracy.

Na'Allah noted spending 14 years building the APC as a founding member at state and federal levels. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities the party had given him.

He urged supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. Details of their next steps would follow, he indicated.

Copies of his withdrawal letter went to APC leadership in Abuja and the party's North-West zonal office in Kaduna. Both offices received notification of his decision simultaneously.

Na'Allah thanked the party for allowing him to serve in various roles. His departure marks a significant shift in the Kebbi South senatorial contest ahead of next year's election.
