Mrs. Ishaka urged the students to remain focused on their studies and strive to become worthy ambassadors of the school, assuring them that the MEO Foundation would continue to support its alma mater.

Excitement swept through Ibrede Grammar School, Ibrede, in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday, January 15, 2026, as students and staff received a donation of football jerseys from the Michael Emetomor Obi (MEO) Foundation.

The jerseys were formally presented on behalf of the foundation by Mrs Justina Ishaka, who stated that the donation fulfilled a promise made by an old student of the school, Pastor Odemaro Samuel Obi, through the MEO Foundation.

She explained that the gesture followed her observation during the school’s 2025 Inter-House Sports Competition, which revealed that Ibrede Grammar School was unable to participate effectively in state-level sporting events, including the Principal’s Cup, due to the absence of football kits.

Mrs. Ishaka urged the students to remain focused on their studies and strive to become worthy ambassadors of the school, assuring them that the MEO Foundation would continue to support its alma mater.

Receiving the jerseys, the Principal, Pastor Augustine Ogbo, expressed deep appreciation to the foundation, describing the donation as a reflection of the strong values instilled in Pastor Samuel Obi during his years at the school.

He encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the gesture by working hard and committing themselves to excellence.

“This is a living testimony of what God is using the MEO Foundation to do in this school. Let it motivate you to be diligent in your studies and become ambassadors of this school and the nation,” Pastor Ogbo said.

Also speaking, the Games Master, Mr. Obi Kester, said it was the first time since his transfer to the school that Ibrede Grammar School had received football jerseys.

“For the first time, we now have both home and away kits,” he said, while praying for God’s blessings upon the donors.

The Chairman of the Ibrede Grammar School Old Students Association (IGSOSA), Home Branch, Hon. Reuben Okaroh, who was also present, prayed for the continued growth and expansion of the MEO Foundation.

The Michael Emetomor Obi (MEO) Foundation, established in March 2025, is committed to empowering young people through improved access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, while promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, peace, and social responsibility.
