Leave Wike out of PDP crisis – Party chieftain, Onaiwu

The first Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor’s Forum, Mr. Earl Osaro Onaiwu, has called on the party’s supporters in Edo to ignore reports that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, sponsored Dep. Gov. Phillip Shuaibu’s declaration for the 2024 guber race. Onaiwu’s counsel is contained in a statement he released on Tuesday.

He said, “People are just exploiting Wike’s name to gain cheap political points,” adding that “Wike has moved on and should be left alone to do his duties as FCT Minister.”

He urged PDP members in Edo to concentrate on building a strong and united party. “We need to concentrate on building a strong and united PDP in Edo.

“We should not let ourselves be sidetracked by rumours and gossip.

“Let us cooperate towards the common goal of winning the 2024 governorship election in the state,” Onaiwu said.
