Lagos Monarch, Oba Kabiru, Passes Away at 64 Following Eid Prayers

The Lagos state government has announced the passing of the Osolo of Isolo in Lagos State, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka, at the age of 64.

The monarch will be buried in accordance with Islamic rites at his palace in Isolo on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 4:00 pm.

Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka was known for his wisdom, compassion, and dedication to the welfare of his subjects during his reign.

He played a vital role in fostering unity and promoting the cultural heritage of Isolo.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo, on behalf of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Lagos state government, alongside the people of Isolo and the entire Lagos community, mourn the loss of Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka and extend their condolences to his family and loved ones.

The monarch’s passing has left a void in the community, and he will be remembered for his contributions to the development and well-being of Isolo Kingdom.
