Lagos Government Takes Strong Stance Against Vehicles Without Visible Number Plates

The Lagos State Government has issued a stern warning to motorists who drive vehicles without proper number plates or use covered ones.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, stated that these actions not only violate sections 15 and 16 of the State’s Transport Reform Law (TSRL 2018), but also pose a significant threat to public safety and security.

The current administration is determined to enhance security and enforce traffic regulations, as driving without visible number plates hampers law enforcement efforts and makes it difficult to identify vehicles involved in criminal activities.

In light of this, the Lagos State Government has made it clear that they will not tolerate such behavior and that offenders risk having their vehicles impounded.

This move is part of a larger effort to ensure the safety and well-being of the public, as well as to maintain law and order in the bustling city of Lagos.

As a responsible driver, it is important to ensure that your vehicle is properly registered and that the number plate is clearly visible.

Doing so not only helps to avoid potential fines and penalties but also contributes to a safer and more secure environment for everyone.
