Toyin Amuzu, a PDP chieftain in Ogun State, has thrown his weight behind Oladipupo Adebutu. Adebutu emerged as the party's gubernatorial candidate on Sunday.
Amuzu described Adebutu as a credible and competent leader with the integrity needed to advance Ogun State. He noted that few politicians are as experienced and prepared as Adebutu for the 2027 race.
In his assessment, Adebutu's long commitment to people's welfare sets him apart. His accessibility and grasp of governance make him the ideal choice for residents, Amuzu argued.
"Chief Ladi Adebutu is a man of integrity, humility, and proven leadership capacity," Amuzu told reporters. "He has no baggage of deceit or dishonesty."
According to Amuzu, Adebutu has consistently shown genuine concern for the people's wellbeing. He's used his personal resources to drive development across the state.
Amuzu characterized Adebutu as a true son of the soil deeply rooted in Ogun. His contributions to the state's growth are widely recognized, he noted.
The PDP stalwart stressed that Ogun State deserves a leader with credibility and honesty. Adebutu, as a thoroughbred indigene, possesses the qualities to reposition the state economically and socially.
"Leadership must be built on truth, competence, and compassion," Amuzu said. "Chief Adebutu understands our challenges and has the experience to provide practical solutions."
Amuzu reaffirmed his confidence in the PDP as a party. He described it as committed to people-oriented governance and democratic values.
He called on party members and residents to unite behind Adebutu's candidacy. Such unity, he believes, will secure victory for the PDP in 2027.
Amuzu expressed optimism about what Adebutu's leadership would bring to the state. He pointed to unemployment, insecurity, and economic hardship as critical issues demanding urgent attention.
