Kogi Governor Ododo Addresses Communal Crisis and Prioritizes Civil Servants’ Welfare

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has expressed deep concern over the recent communal clashes in Agojeju-Odo community in Omala Local Government Area, which resulted in the loss of lives and property.

In response to the crisis, Governor Ododo has assured immediate intervention to prevent further violence and bring the perpetrators to justice.

During a condolence visit led by Deputy Governor Elder Joel Oyibo Salifu, Governor Ododo emphasized the state government’s commitment to deploying both kinetic and non-kinetic measures to restore peace and stability in the affected area.

He reiterated that security agencies are actively pursuing the assailants responsible for the attacks, with the goal of ensuring justice for the victims.

In a separate development, Governor Ododo has reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of civil servants in the state.

During an interactive session with Labour leaders, the Governor discussed critical steps taken to address the impact of the economic downturn on workers in the public sector.

The Labour leaders expressed happiness for the interventions made by Governor Ododo in the welfare of workers since the inception of his administration.

The Governor assured that the welfare of workers would remain a top priority for his administration and that regular engagement with stakeholders would be a key part of his governance approach.

As the situation in Agojeju-Odo community remains tense, and the community has been deserted following the attacks, Governor Ododo’s swift response and commitment to addressing the crisis and prioritizing workers’ welfare demonstrate his administration’s dedication to the well-being and safety of the people of Kogi State.
