In a significant political development, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Hon. Festus Keyamo SAN, on Wednesday formally welcomed Senator Ned Nwoko into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following his official defection on the floor of the Senate.

Senator Nwoko, who officially joined the APC on February 5, 2025, was accompanied by Keyamo to the APC national secretariat, where he was presented to the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. The chairman praised Nwoko for his decision to align with the APC, emphasizing the importance of his presence in the party.

The event was attended by members of the APC National Working Committee, former National Women Leader Hon. Stella Okotete, and the Delta North Senatorial Chairman of the party, among other notable figures.

In a statement from his media team, Keyamo described Nwoko’s defection as a turning point in his political career and a strategic advantage for the APC ahead of future elections.

“The coming of Senator Ned Nwoko into the party would be of great advantage to the party in future elections,” Keyamo stated.

Nwoko’s defection signals a shift in the political landscape of Delta State and is expected to influence APC’s positioning in the region as preparations for upcoming elections gain momentum.
