Kebbi Government Donates 24 Vehicles to State Lawmakers Amid National Challenges

The Kebbi State Government recently distributed 24 operational vehicles to members of the State House of Assembly.

Governor Nasir Idris, who handed over the vehicles to the lawmakers in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing an enabling environment for officials to carry out their duties effectively.

The governor emphasized that this gesture is a fulfillment of their campaign promise and an effort to ensure that lawmakers can visit their constituents to understand their challenges better.

This distribution follows the provision of 30 operational vehicles to security agencies and 28 vehicles to members of the State Executive Council.

During the handover ceremony, Governor Idris advised the lawmakers to exhibit the fear of God Almighty and be just and fair to the people of the state in their legislative business.

He acknowledged the cordial relationship between the state executive council and the assembly, which has paved the way for rapid growth and development in Kebbi.

The governor also thanked the Speaker, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Ankwai, and other members of the assembly for their support in fostering a conducive environment for the state’s progress.

This development comes at a time when Nigeria is facing various national challenges, and the Kebbi Government’s initiative to support its lawmakers is a step in the right direction to ensure effective governance and better representation of the people.
