Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has presented brand new cars to two top graduates of Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management. The award ceremony took place at the Government House in Katsina on Thursday.
Ibrahim Mai Nasara Bugaje and Aisha Isiaku were the standout performers at the institution. Bugaje, from Networking and System Security, scored a CGPA of 4.92, while Isiaku from Computer Software Engineering achieved 4.75.
Both students emerged as the school's overall best graduating class members. Their exceptional grades earned them the vehicles as reward.
Radda said he was keeping a promise made during the school's convocation ceremony on April 28, 2026. At that event, he'd pledged to provide cars and jobs for the institution's top graduates.
The governor congratulated the pair on their academic success. He urged them to use their education to develop Katsina State and Nigeria.
"I hope you will continue to be beneficial to the state, put more effort into its development, and inspire younger generations to follow in your footsteps," Radda noted. According to him, such rewards motivate students to aim higher.
Katsina State Head of Service Falalu Bawale formally presented the students to the governor during the event. Bawale described the awards as part of the government's effort to celebrate academic excellence.
The official said recognizing top performers encourages a culture of hard work in educational institutions. He commended both graduates for their dedication to their studies.
This gesture reflects the state government's commitment to investing in young talent. Education officials hope the incentive will inspire other students to pursue academic excellence.
