Usman Shehu Bawa, the Peoples Democratic Party's governorship candidate for Kaduna State in 2027, has picked Amos A. Gandu as his running mate.
The choice underscores the party's dedication to bringing together competence, unity, and inclusive governance, Bawa said.
Speaking in Kaduna on Tuesday, Bawa explained that he'd consulted widely with party leaders, elders, women, youths, and other key stakeholders before making his decision. "Kaduna stands at a critical point in its history and requires leadership that can unite its diverse people, deliver good governance, and place the welfare of citizens above every other consideration," he said.
Gandu hails from Jaba Local Government Area and has held several positions serving the state. Bawa noted his running mate's track record of public service across various roles.
