Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani wants pharmacists to actively combat fraudsters in their profession. He believes this will protect patients and strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.

Sani made the remarks at a book launch honouring Professor Ahmed Tijani Mora's 70th birthday. The event took place at Hotel 17 in Kaduna on Thursday.

His Principal Private Secretary, Professor Bello Ayuba, represented him at the ceremony. Ayuba emphasized the need to monitor all healthcare professionals closely.

Sani described Mora as a pharmacy colossus whose impact will endure. He praised the book, titled "Professor Ahmed Tijjani Mora: A Pillar of Pharmacy Regulation in Nigeria."

According to him, the publication preserves an intellectual legacy for future generations. "With over five decades of teaching, mentorship and leadership, we salute Prof.

Mora and the authors," Ayuba noted on the governor's behalf.

Sani highlighted his administration's healthcare expansion efforts. His government has upgraded 255 Primary Healthcare Centres to Level 2 status across all wards in Kaduna.

A 300-bed specialist hospital now operates in the state. The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital had sat idle under previous administrations.

Fifteen General Hospitals underwent upgrades to strengthen secondary care. Health worker welfare also improved through new salary implementations.

Education received significant investment under Sani's tenure. Sixty-two new science secondary schools were constructed statewide.

He noted that refurbished schools boosted student performance. National examination results showed remarkable improvements across the state.

Farmers benefited from agricultural support programmes. Smallholder farmers received free fertiliser for two consecutive years.

Sani credited peace restoration as his standout achievement. No religious or communal clashes occurred during his three-year tenure.

Stability has transformed economic activity in Kaduna. Free movement, inter-communal trade, and investments have flourished under his watch.

The peaceful environment enabled legacy projects to materialize. Mass transit buses, terminals, and three Skills Acquisition Centres now operate across Soba, Rigachukun, and Samarun Kataf.
