I’m Disappointed – Tonto Dike Calls Out Peter Obi Over Borehole Quality in Northern Nigeria

Nollywood actress Tonto Dike has publicly criticized Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, over the quality of boreholes donated to several northern communities in Nigeria.

This criticism comes after Peter Obi’s gesture of drilling and donating boreholes in various northern areas, including Plateau, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Zaria, and others, during his Ramadan tour.

Despite the intention to provide much-needed water resources to these communities, the quality of the boreholes has come under fire.

Some Nigerians have called the boreholes substandard, while others have praised Peter Obi for his efforts.

Taking to Instagram, Tonto Dike expressed her disappointment and dissatisfaction with the boreholes supplied to the northern areas.

She urged Peter Obi to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu to further Nigeria’s prosperity, emphasizing the need for collective effort in improving the nation’s well-being.

In her post, Tonto Dike wrote: “His Excellency, sir, with all due respect, @peterobigregory, I am deeply disappointed by this.

The idea that Nigeria was almost entrusted to you, sir, is disheartening. This isn’t trolling; I’m genuinely dissatisfied with your actions.

“I’m in disbelief. Were you truly committed to taking this country to the next level? This situation highlights the need for all of us to join hands with Mr President, @officialasiwajubat, and actively contribute to the nation’s progress.

It’s not a task for one person alone; it requires the dedication of all.”

Tonto Dike concluded her message by reiterating her love and support for Peter Obi but emphasized the importance of speaking the truth for the betterment of Nigeria.

This development has sparked a significant debate among Nigerians, highlighting the importance of quality and accountability in public service and the need for collaboration between political leaders to drive the country forward.
