i-invest Launches Women-Focused Savings Initiative for Financial Empowerment

In celebration of International Women’s Day, digital finance platform i-invest has launched a new savings initiative called “#VioletsForHer” to boost the financial literacy and empowerment of women.

The initiative, which was unveiled at an event in Lagos, offers a one percent interest bonus over the standard savings plan to encourage women to save and take control of their financial futures.

Speaking at the event, i-invest Chief Operating Officer Oluwatobi Olusoga emphasized the importance of improving the financial well-being of women and the need for increased financial literacy.

She called on the government to create initiatives that make access to finance for women much easier, such as financial literacy education.

Mary Akpobome, the Chief Operating Officer of Imperium Capital Partners Plc, highlighted the importance of financial literacy for women and the need to set financial objectives and goals.

She shared strategies for success in a changing world, emphasizing the importance of discipline, consistency, and integrity in savings.

Consultant and Diversity, Equability & Inclusion specialist Habiba Balogun encouraged women to educate themselves about money, make a financial plan, and build an emergency fund to cater to their own happiness.

She stressed the importance of investing in one’s future and exploring the many ways to do so.

The “#VioletsForHer” initiative by i-invest marks a significant step towards empowering women financially and promoting their financial independence.

By providing access to financial education and encouraging savings, the platform aims to create a positive impact on the lives of women and their families.

As the initiative progresses, it will be essential for i-invest to monitor its effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of women and promotes their financial well-being.
