The Chairman of Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), Urhobo Ethnic National, Delta Central Chapter, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) OML30 Uherevie Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT), Comrade Agwarive Pender JP, has congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary, describing him as a transformational leader with deep grassroots connection and unwavering commitment to the progress of Delta.
In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to the press on Wednesday, Comrade Pender extolled Governor Oborevwori’s Pan-Delta leadership style, noting that the governor has consistently demonstrated wisdom, maturity, and a clear developmental vision since assuming office. He added that under Oborevwori’s watch, Delta State has witnessed a remarkable consolidation of peace, infrastructure renewal, and inclusive governance.
The HOSTCOM and HCDT BOT Chairman emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda has redefined governance in Delta State by prioritizing meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security. He stated that these pillars have not only resonated with the people but have also begun yielding visible and sustainable results across senatorial zones.
Comrade Pender, who is also a justice of the peace (JP), noted that the oil-producing communities under OML30 have particularly benefited from the governor’s proactive engagement with host communities and stakeholders, aligning state development with the goals of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). He commended Governor Oborevwori’s support for the smooth implementation of the HCDT structure and community-driven development initiatives.
“As the Governor celebrates this milestone age of 62, we join millions of well-wishers across Delta and beyond to pray for his continued strength, wisdom, and divine guidance. His leadership is a beacon of hope for many, and his calm yet firm approach to governance inspires confidence in a brighter future for our dear state,” the statement reads.
Comrade Agwarive Pender JP reaffirmed the commitment of HOSTCOM and the Uherevie HCDT Board to work collaboratively with the Delta State Government in ensuring that the dividends of oil production are felt by all stakeholders through transparency, accountability, and grassroots involvement. He wished Governor Oborevwori many more years of impactful leadership and good health in service to humanity.
