Armed men abducted three farmers from Agbaje community in Idanre Local Council Area of Ondo State. The victims—Funke Agbaje and two others, including two women—were seized while working their farmland in the agrarian settlement.
The kidnappers have already made contact with families, demanding N5 million for each captive's release. A family member who spoke anonymously confirmed the demand, expressing shock at the sudden abduction.
"My sister-in-law, Funke Falolu, and the two others went to the farm as they do every day," the family source told reporters. "We never thought they wouldn't come home.
The kidnappers called asking for N5 million each—where would we get such money?"
Authorities moved quickly after learning of the incident. Both Ala Police Station and the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun, received reports of the abduction.
When reached for comment, Abayomi Jimoh, the Ondo State Police Command's public relations officer, promised swift action. He assured that investigators would look into the case with urgency.
