Granada has completed the signing of Nigerian striker Chinaza Marvellous Onouha Okonyia. The 19-year-old arrives after an outstanding campaign with UP Plasencia.
Okonyia was instrumental in UP Plasencia's promotion to the Tercera RFEF this season. He finished as the division's leading scorer with a remarkable tally.
Across all competitions, the forward netted 34 goals for the Cáceres-based club. His league record alone stood at 23 goals in 23 matches.
He also contributed seven goals in the Copa Extremadura competition. Four more came during the promotion playoff matches.
UP Plasencia captured the Primera Extremeña championship title this year. Okonyia's consistent finishing proved crucial to their success on the pitch.
Granada will initially assign him to their reserve team setup. The B-side struggled in attack during the previous campaign.
The Nigerian talent joins as a prospect to develop within the club's system. His proven goalscoring ability at lower levels caught the Spanish side's attention.
