Governor Yusuf Appoints Nine New Officials in Kano State

Kano State governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, has recently announced the appointment of nine new officials, including special advisers and heads of some agencies, in a bid to enhance the governance of the state.

The appointments, which were revealed in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, are intended to bring more capable hands on board to drive the state towards greater achievements.

The newly appointed officials and their respective roles are as follows:

Prof. Ibrahim Magaji Barde – Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)
Dr. Abdulhamid Danladi – Special Adviser on Diaspora II
Engr. Bello Muhammad Kiru – Special Adviser on Water Resources
Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye) – Special Adviser on Youth and Sports (reappointment)
Dr. Nura Jafar Shanono – Managing Director, Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA)
Hon. Baba Abubakar Umar – Executive Secretary, Private and Voluntary Institutions Management Board (moved from Special Adviser)
Hon. Nasir Mansur Muhammad – Director-General, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
Aminu Hamidu Bako Kofar Na’isa – Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA)
Engr. Mukhtar Yusuf – Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA)

The appointments are effective immediately, and Governor Yusuf expressed his confidence in the newly appointed officials to contribute significantly to the development of Kano State.

The governor’s decision to engage more capable hands in the state’s governance demonstrates his commitment to enhancing the well-being of the people of Kano and taking the state to greater heights.
