Governor Ododo Visits FGN Power Company, Seeks Improved Electricity Supply in Kogi State

In a bid to enhance the power supply in his state, the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, recently paid a visit to the FGN Power Company in Abuja.

The visit aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the state government and the power company, with the ultimate goal of improving electricity supply in the state.

During the visit, Governor Ododo met with the Managing Director and CEO of FGN Power, Mr. Kenny Anuku.

The governor expressed gratitude for the company’s interventions in Kogi State and emphasized the importance of power supply in driving the state’s industrialization efforts.

“Kogi is Central to Nigeria and has become the new industrial hub of our nation,” said Governor Ododo.

“Our tax administration, excellent security network, and robust economic policies have made our state a destination of choice for some industrial giants.”

However, he pointed out that without adequate power supply, industries would continue to struggle.

The governor stressed that sustaining existing industries and attracting new ones would depend on the improvement of power supply to the state.

Mr. Kenny Anuku commended Governor Ododo’s efforts to improve power supply in the state and assured him that the company was already working to address the issue.

He also urged the Kogi State Government to participate in the FGN Power’s Investment Program, which would help improve distribution infrastructure in the state.

Accompanying Governor Ododo on the visit were Chief of Staff Hon. Ali Bello, Commissioner for Energy and Rural Development Engr. AbdulMutalib Mohammed, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Barr. Deedat Ozigi, and Commissioner for Information and Communications Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo.

This collaborative effort between the Kogi State Government and the FGN Power Company is expected to result in significant improvements in the power supply, ultimately fostering the state’s growth and development in the industrial and economic sectors.
