“Governor Fubara Busy Spending State Funds on Thanksgiving,” Claims APC

The Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha, has accused Governor Siminialayi Fubara of spending the money meant for the development of the state on social activities such as thanksgiving in all the local government areas of the state.

Okocha made the accusation on Tuesday in Port Harcourt while addressing newsmen on the state of development in Rivers in the last 10 months of Fubara’s administration.

He claimed that the governor is out of the road plans and has not initiated any new road projects apart from the ring road initiated by former Governor Nyesom Wike.

The APC Chairman also questioned the relevance of the alleged transformation of Songai farm and the rehabilitation of the cassava plant, asking how these activities translate to good governance for Rivers people.

He further claimed that the support for the governor’s actions is highly orchestrated by the governor himself.

The accusations come at a time when the state is in dire need of development and progress.

It remains to be seen whether Governor Fubara will respond to the allegations and address the concerns raised by the APC.
