Governor Adeleke’s Dancing Draws Criticism from APC in Osun State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to focus on delivering quality governance to the people of the state, rather than engaging in what they described as “fiddling and merry-making” in Lagos.

This comes as the ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accuses the APC of being paranoid with the governor’s performance within one-half years in office.

The APC, in a statement issued by its chairman, Kola Olabisi, criticized Governor Adeleke for attending a twerking session at the Sheraton Hotel, describing it as an “executive show of shame.”

The party also questioned the governor’s inability to justify the receipt of over N200 billion in Federal allocation and N14 billion in cash from the previous administration, despite not paying the March wages of state workers and pensioners.

In response, the PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, stated that the APC’s criticism is a clear indication of the opposition’s paranoia over Governor Adeleke’s performance.

He accused the APC of abandoning several road and building projects during their tenure and praised the current administration for completing such projects, thus saving billions of state funds from waste.

Bisi also addressed the APC’s claim about a federal school feeding program, which the Federal Government stopped to investigate a multi-billion naira fraud.

He accused the opposition of spreading fake news and disinformation, further damaging their reputation as a party that should be rejected in the 2026 governorship election.

As the political battle continues in Osun State, both parties are determined to defend their positions and criticize the other.

The APC urges Governor Adeleke to prioritize governance over entertainment, while the PDP maintains that the opposition is merely paranoid and spreading false information.
